I absolutely love newborn photography because it allows me to capture a moment in time that goes by so fast. It’s amazing how much they change in the early days. Little Persephone was born a bit early, but by the time I took her portraits at only 2 weeks old, you would hardly tell by looking at her. She was a such a cutie, and she slept beautifully during her newborn portrait session. I was only able to photograph so many different “themes” with Persephone because she was such a perfect baby.
I got all of the photos that I wanted to, and even fit in some simple “Christmas” themed photos, which was great because I was dying to use my Christmas ornament props! That’s right, I used ornaments as props. I’m not sure where the bear came from, but the green mug was from Target. (You can really find everything at Target.) Next year I’ll have to remember to scour the Christmas ornaments for other cute finds.
At the end of the session, we did a few different sibling and family shots. Big sister was so excited to take part, and was such a great listener! I really love how much she showed that she loved her baby sister.
